Cubby area with "Guessing Bags" for the first week of school. Kids bring in something that starts with the first letter of their name and write 3 clues on the bag so others can guess what is inside. They love it!
This area is also where I store my copy paper and other types of paper for student use.
This is the "front" door leading to hallway...decorated with a Disney curtain (of course) and a colorful border. The table next to the door is my "parent helper" table where I leave supplies that parents might need for projects and any copying or prep work that I have for parents who want to help out.
My color wall!! I love it! My boyfriend made me the Disney Ferris Wheel to go on the wall. So. Adorable. I got the Disney color word posters from Jessica Colby on TeachersPayTeachers.
This large blue board is for student work, but I put up some "manners" posters at the beginning of the year last year. This area also houses my very small kitchen area. The large gray "box" is my laptop storage unit. Each of our classrooms has five laptops. They are dinosaurs, but I try to use them as much as I can!
My (very bare) word wall with a Disney alphabet
Doesn't everything look so nice and neat for Meet the Teacher? Didn't last too long my first year!!
LOVE my horseshoe table!
My reading corner! Looks much different now that I've moved the bookshelves around. It has Disney quotes hanging at the top and a "Cars" theme. Love it!
This is the first table parents came to at Meet the Teacher. They sign in and get a checklist of things to do. The kids do a little scavenger hunt from Little Kinder Warriors.
The next table has a student information sheet and a page about allergies for my records.
Coloring table for kiddos while parents are chatting me up!
One stop on the scavenger hunt is the treasure box! (Not full of all of my goodies, but some bookmarks, stickers, and pencils.)
Another parent table with a place for completed papers, information about drop off/pick up and what kind of rest blanket and water bottle we like to use in K. :)
My desk area... I don't even recognize it anymore!
My computer area with my document camera (LOVE).
My calendar area (which has a lot more going on now!)
My "curriculum" shelf where I keep most of my teacher manuals/binders
Last parent table with information about our Wish List and transportation (a VERY important table for the first day especially!!)
Hopefully Meet the Teacher will be a lot easier this year now that I have done it once before! I have changed lots of my forms and streamlined the paperwork to make it easier on me and the parents! Hard to believe it is only ONE month away!!
